This is a wonderful movie date – Six great films for the holidays

During the holiday season , studios release their big releases of family movies and classic television networks handle traditional comforters of old. But who said that vacations are strictly for curling up with the kids for a family film and kisses Aunt Mildred neighborhood after having had a little too strong eggnog ? This season , we strive to add more romance for the holidays by renting these great date movies that highlight the holiday. ( Better yet, you can buy copies and give them as gifts to the desired date . )

Serendipity (2001 ) – Directed by Peter Chelsom , starring John Cusack and Kate Beckinsale . This visionary novel begins in New York five days before Christmas, when a man and woman fighting the last pair of black gloves in Bloomingdale . They decide to split the gloves together and have a good time together at a skating rink and later at a small restaurant called Serendipity . Although it is more than ready to get involved with it ( although his girlfriend, who bought gloves) , said that if fate brings them together is supposed to be . They parted without knowing the names or other phone numbers , their only link is his name writing a fiver and his name written in a book. It’s a smart comedy that will make you believe in fate – at least for 90 minutes.

Sleepless in Seattle (1993 ) – Directed by Nora Ephron and starring Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan . While driving home from her boyfriend on Christmas Eve , a reporter heard a radio program in which a child calls for help to find his father a new wife . The journalist was beaten when the widow immediately confesses to the radio as he loved his ex-wife and how it looks good wife to return . Despite living in Baltimore and is located in Seattle , started an eccentric child through a long distance relationship , culminating in a visit to New York ‘s Empire State Building. It takes time for fans to finally meet in person, but it’s worth the wait.

You’ve Got Mail ( 1998 ) – Directed by Nora Ephron and starring Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan . Tom and Meg fall in love with each other once again in this wonderful comedy . The bookstore owner a charming independent children and owner of a bookstore chain are implacable enemies instantly when they meet in person . However, without knowing it , fall in love at the same time online through a cyber romance . The touching scene Thanksgiving and Christmas memories mark what is missing in their lives. It is a very romantic setting of the film in New York during the winter. ( This film is best viewed with a hot chocolate and a candy cane stirrer , with a box of tissues nearby . )

Bridget Jones ‘s Diary (2001 ) – Directed by Sharon Maguire and starring Renee Zellweger and Colin Firth. At thirty -something, single overweight British woman quits her job after a disastrous relationship with her boss (Hugh Grant as a charming cad) . It was a brief and unpleasant discussion with the son of a family friend to a Christmas party , which immediately they like best. After running in this beautiful rights lawyer again and again over the coming months , develop a friendly relationship . Crude and sometimes rude , but always funny , this movie rated R day is ideal for holidays . (Please note – the result is not so good. )

While You Were Sleeping (1995 ) – Directed by Jon Turteltaub and starring Sandra Bullock and Bill Pullman. A lone signal collector on the Chicago station is in love for a long time about a man who falls into a coma after being attacked at the station and dumping on the slopes. Confused with his girlfriend , she continues her disappointment during the Christmas holidays with his family. When she meets his brother , however , she falls for him even more . It’s fun to see Bullock determining brother he likes and try to overthrow the tissue of lies . It’s a sweet , romantic bittersweet for the holidays .
